PROFESSIONAL SCHOLARSHIP FOR STUDENTS
- 1. The Trust helps needy and meritorious students who have studied Gurmat with the Satnam Sarab Kalyan Trust & have taken admission in professional courses by providing financial support up to Rs. 50,000 per annum for the total duration of their course. Presently 136 professional students (2023-24) are being helped under this scheme.
- 2. Two day professional camps are organized twice a year where experts from various fields such as general education, corporate & gurmat etc. are invited to give lectures and share their life experiences to make them good gursikh professional.
- 3. The Trust maintains contact with these students through email & whatsapp. Every alternate month a handout on a variety of subjects (both religious and academic) is sent to the students. Gursikh achievers are also invited to meet & address the students showing them as role models in life.
- 4. The trust has been selecting almost 50 students for professional scholarship every year from 2011 onwards. The idea is to establish an intake of 50 professional students every year so that in 3-4 years we have a good numbers of qualified professionals entering various professions every year. Trust wants to create big pool of middle level & top level professionals who can lead a truthful life with SEWA BHAWNA & spread the Guru’s message. This group finally will work as change agents for Sikh Samaj.
- 5. Trust aims to create, at least, 1000 middle level gursikh professionals who can lead truthful life with Sewa Bhawna in next 15-20 yrs.
UPSC EXAMINATION COACHING
SATNAM SARAB KALYAN TRUST has started providing Professional Coaching for UPSC Examinations from 2022 onwards to needy and meritorious students from rural background from reputed UPSC Coaching Institute for a period of three years. Selected UPSC aspirants have been provided Coaching Fee, Optional Subject Fee, Food expenses, facilities such as accommodation, Computer with Printer, Internet, Newspapers as well as Books by SSKT. Approximately Rs. 4 Lakh is incurred on each student for a period of 3 years.
BANKING COACHING
Satnam Sarab Kalyan Trust has also started providing Offline/Online course in Retail Banking in association with Professional Banking Coaching Institutes for needy students for providing Job opportunities in Private Sector Banks. Almost every student, who has taken training, has got absorbed in various private banks.
